Horses Im unsure if they had the same issue, or at least the fix mod I found didnt seem to try and fix black spots but rather just dark eyes in general.
It was very difficult to tell since you can only zoom in so much, but they were there when viewing from some angles. Yeah I saw in game one of the cats have some black spots in the eye outside of CAS while in the sun.
Yeah I dont use CC which is probably why I never noticed given that they're just plain eyes with nothing extra. The black holes in the pet eyes are some kind of bug? I don't really know how this works, but the light reflections provided by the game show up as black instead of white. Through this mod, your Sims can extract more social interactions from their cats and dogs if you have assigned the Cat Lover or Dog Lover trait to them. I thought the women's eye issue might've been eventually fixed by EA, but don't trust me on that. I don't use eyes with painted-on reflections or any other asymmetry, and I can confirm that there's nothing about them that looks mirrored. It's not an issue if you don't use cc or the eye you're using is symmetrical. if the eye you're using has a painted-on reflection, that reflection will be mirrored from one eye to the other. I thought that the mirrored female eye issue is for the eye design, not the lighting provided in the game.
